Is it really worth it?
Almost all of my clients who want to lose weight (or as they say here dimagrire ) they think that the best way to do that is to reduce calories drastically. Although in order to lose pounds is necessary to reduce the calories intake, doing a drastic reduction can be counterproductive. The first reason is becasue assuming too few calories can bring to a loss of lean mass, made up of muslces, which is the one that actually we should try to keep at all costs. The second reason is psychological and in my opinion is the most important. In fact, having to sacrifice all the things that we like in the long term can bring to self sabotage which is the reason number one for all the diet plans to fail. Instead if doing this, its so much better increasing the exercise. This way we can have our favourite foods without the sense of guilt.
